Meet the Coaches
Junior Varsity Coach
Coach Krula is 51 years old and has been coaching with the Mustangs organization for 4 years. He is the proud husband of amazing wife Monica for 17 years and father of a brilliant, creative, and beautiful daughter (Reilly 14) and bright, selfless and hard working son (Kevin 10).
Kevin played high school football at lake shore high school and 2 years of college football at wayne state university. He has coached high school football for 10 years at Lake Shore High and 4 years at cardinal mooney high school with multiple playoff appearances. Kevin also has experience in coaching boys and girls hoops, flag football, and baseball. Coach Krula has been self employed in a family owned company for over 25 years.
Jr. Freshman Coach
Quentin Cowart is 28 years old, has 2 years of coaching experience, and has 18 years of playing experience. Quentin is entering his first year as Head Coach for the Macomb Mustangs Jr. Freshman team. Last year he assisted as a defensive coordinator for the team.
Quentin started his youth football career at age 5 in Fort-Hood, Texas. He played in many other states due to his father being in the military. He ended his school career in Washington State, moved to New Have, MI to finish his career at New Haven High School. He was a 3 year varsity team member at New Haven. He also played basketball and track his junior and senior years of high school. Quentin earned All-Conference as well as All-Country awards in football in Macomb County as a linebacker in 2009. He continued his football career at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. It is a Historically Black College/University in the NCAA's DIVISION 2 SIAC CONFERENCE.
Coach Quentin resides in Sterling Heights with his girlfriend Breanna and dog Molly. Coach loves being apart of the Macomb Mustangs organization!
